Before we confirm any service booking, an initial meet & greet at the owners' house is necessary to provide our insurance details and to take all the required details of your pet in order for us to provide the best quality care.
Bookings
Following a successful meet & greet and completion of our registration form, we require 48hrs notice for any bookings. We can, on occasion, offer last minute services, but these are dependent on availability and are at liberty of an additional charge.
Cancellation
Notification of cancellation is required at least 24 hours prior to service. Notification less than 24 hours will incur a full charge for services. In addition, if we arrive at your home and your pet is not available or we are unable to gain access to your property during a scheduled visit, you will be charged at the booked rate.
Adverse Weather
In the event of extreme weather conditions (high temperatures, blizzards etc.), where the safety and wellbeing of the dog is at risk, an alternative service will be provided. This can include walks during different times of day, shorter walks or home visits instead.
Payment
We accept cash and bank transfers. Bank details will be provided during meet & greet and included on invoices.
Clients are billed in advance either weekly or monthly as agreed during meet & greet. Payment for all pet services should be made on the day of or prior to the arranged appointment.
Missed payments
We understand sometimes things can slip the mind in busy & stressful times, so if your payment is missed, we will carry forward the balance to your next invoice and reserve the right to charge interest on outstanding payments.
Dog Welfare
At Canine Trails, we expect owners to observe the legal obligations of using an identity tag on their dogs collar and maintaining regular vaccinations and boosters. During the completion of our new customer form, we must be advised of any behavioural traits and medical issues which may impact the service we provide you. Owners are fully responsible for any damage or injury caused by their pet to properties, other animals and humans.
Emergency Care
In the unlikely event that something should happen to your pet that requires medical attention, we will do everything possible to contact you and obtain the right treatment for your pet in a timely manner. In the event that we are unable to reach you, by agreeing to these terms and conditions, you allow to us make medical decisions on your behalf for the care of your pet. Any charges incurred in these decisions will be covered by yourselves.
Acknowledgement
By signing the registration form you agree to these terms and conditions, and confirm the registration details provided are correct.
